Social Presents: Black Delta Movement / Avalanche Party / Blinders
About this Event
THE BLACK DELTA MOVEMENT are a Hull band with a psychedelic garage sound and many different influences ranging from the likes of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Paul Weller, The Small Faces and The Black Keys amongst others.
They have supported The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Stranglers, Temples, Drenge, The View, Shaun Ryder, Twin Atlantic, The Bohicas, Jefferson Starship, Steve Cradock, The Temperance Movement and many more.
AVALANCHE PARTY are a garage-punk band hopped up on adrenalin and amphetamines. Their sound is intense and immediate, So new yet so familiar and brimming with an urgency that explodes off the stage like the front lines of a war you didn’t even realise was being fought. Every note played through white knuckles, every word spat through gritted teeth. The beats blast like cannons while the guitars stampede like spooked stallions surging ever onward, snorting, snarling and tearing apart everything in their path.
BLINDERS are a three-piece rock band from Doncaster, Yorkshire (now based in Manchester) who formed in 2014. With a collection of influences such as Nirvana, Nick Cave, The Doors and Black Sabbath, The Blinders take a unique musical approach both when writing and performing their music. Between them, they share a desire to create original and exciting material with meaningful lyrics but dark, desert-esque themes throughout their songs.
